Srinagar: The Evacuee Property Department Kashmir have reconciled the figures of Evacuee land in Kashmir Division (District Wise) and identified Evacuee land measuring almost 140 Kanals illegally occupied by various persons at Ketchrazgir, Chek Raithan and Raiyar Yech Tehsil Khansahab areas of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
In a statement, the Evacuee Property Department said it intensified the anti-encroachment drive on Evacuee land and retrieved land measuring about 140 Kanal at the above locations in Tehsil Khansahab on 19-03-2022 through its constituted team under the supervision of Tariq Hussain Naik (JKAS) Custodian Evacuee Property Kashmir with the active support of District Administration Budgam through Abid Gani Wani Tehsildar khansahabband police.
“Custodian Evacuee Property Kashmir applauded the team and Tehsildar Khansahab for completion of encroachment removal operation successfully launched in Tehsil Khansahab and ordered that the anti-encroachment drive shall also be launched in other areas to retrieve all the encroached Evacuee land from the land grabbers/ illegal occupants," the statement reads.
The Evacuee Property Department also appealed general public to refrain raising illegal constructions on Evacuee land and illegal occupation there of failing which action as warranted under law shall be taken against all violators, it added.
