Srinagar: Scores of Contingent Paid Workers (CPW) working in Education Department protest overย 

non-implemented Minimum Wages Act and pending wages.ย

Under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Contingent Paid Workers Union, workers protested in Press Enclave Srinagar.ย 
ย 
President of the (AJKCPW) association, Abdul Gani Malik said They have been protesting since 2017.ย 
ย 
โ€œWe were getting 50 percent quota under SRO-308โ€, in an order last year, DSEK made respective CEOs as Chairmen to release the pending (DPCs)ย  Departmental Promotion Committee."
ย 
"But instead of releasing wages; those CEOs are only concerned with repeated verifications," CPW President said.ย 
ย 
"If our rights are not given to us, the protests will spread in every district," he said.ย 
ย 
He also hopes the LG led administration will release their wages as per Minimum Wages Act.ย 
ย
