Srinagar: Centre has sent its top counter-militancy experts to the Valley for aiding local police to wipe out militants, Hindustan Times reported.
This comes amid a spike in killing of civilians in the valley.
According to the report the development comes after Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave firm and unequivocal directions to counter the killings of civilians and minorities in Kashmir.
Home minister Shah took a marathon five-hour meeting on Kashmir on Thursday after the killings.
Intelligence Bureau’s head of CT operations Tapan Deka is going to the Valley today to personally supervise the fight against militants while CT teams of other national security agencies have already reached Kashmir to act as force multipliers to Jammu and Kashmir police.
