Budgam: A young man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Wangwas village of the Chadoora area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Shabir Ahmad Jehrah, son of Mohd Yousuf Jehra and a resident of Gogjipathri Wangwas Chadoora.
According to an official, the family found the youth’s body near his house in the early hours of the morning and immediately notified the police.
Meanwhile, family members and villagers have alleged murder and urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
Another official stated that the police have taken notice of the incident and launched an investigation, noting that the body will be released to the family for final rites following the postmortem examination.
