Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir on 1 and 2nd October to address two rallies in Jammu region’s Rajouri and another in north Kashmir’s Baramulla to announce reservations for the OBCs and Pahari community.
A source privy to Shah’s visit said that the Home Minister will visit Baramulla on October 2 and will address the massive public rally of OBCs and Pahari community people there.
“He will announce a package for the OBCs and Pahari’s,” the source said.
He said that Shah is mostly likely to visit Srinagar on the same day to lay foundation for the cancer hospital. The Waqf board has already identified the land at Eidgah area of Srinagar.
Moroover, the Home Minister is also scheduled to meet J&K LG Manoj Sinha, and top security officials of the UT.
He will review the security situation in Kashmir as well in a meeting if time allows.
“The Home Minister will also review ongoing developmental projects in the UT,” the sources said.
