SRINAGAR: The Administrative Council under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha approved the proposal of Revenue Department to transfer various parcels of land for ‘public purposes’.
The Administrative Council approved 20 kanal of land in favour of Police Department for construction of SDPO Office /Police Station Litter area in District Pulwama.
Reportedly, a non – local was shit dead by suspected militants in same area.
Furthermore, 524 kanal of land each containing 11 marla was given in favour of CRPF for establishing battalion camping sites in different villages across Kashmir.
In Anantnag, the sites were identified as Village of Brah – Tehsil Shangus, Village – Jummo – Tehsil Pahalgam, Village – Subhanpahari”, Tehsil Bijbehara.
In Shopian, sites for camps were identified as Village Allowpora area of Sheikhpora – Tehsil Keegam, Village – Zawoora Baderhama and Oukhoo in Tehsil Shopain.
Pulwama includes Tehsil Kakapora and Village Kadlabal in Tehsil Pampore.
Moreover, another sanction in which Transfered 122 kanal in Kupwara, Baramulla and Budgam districts in Kashmir Division was given in favour of Department of Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction for the construction of 1BHK tenements for Kashmir migrant employees appointed under the PM’s Development Package.
The land will be transferred against the payment as per the Stamp Duty Rates notified for the year, 2021. It will provide for safe and proper accommodation to CRPF personnel and their families.
Farooq Khan and Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisors to the Lieutenant Governor, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J&K and Nitishwar Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor attended the meeting.
