Srinagar, Jan 19 — At least three people were injured after two vehicles collided head-on near Gousia Colony Park in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Monday, officials said.
The collision was severe, with one of the vehicles ramming into a nearby building wall, causing visible structural damage. A portion of the wall was damaged and debris was scattered at the spot. The other vehicle suffered extensive frontal damage, and one of the vehicles overturned following the crash.
Local residents rushed to the scene and assisted in rescue efforts before informing the authorities. The injured were pulled out of the damaged vehicles and shifted to hospital for treatment.
Hospital sources said all three injured are undergoing medical care and their condition is stable.
Police said they have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident. Further details are awaited.
