Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinah Tuesday said that the Indian Philosophy must be taught in all universities of Jammu and Kashmir.

While chairing a meeting of the Higher Education Council at Raj Bhawan, he directed concerned authorities to start teaching Indian Philosophy in the universities of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Indian Philosophy must be taught in all universities of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

In the past two years, the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Council has taken many important steps for the comprehensive and holistic transformation, he said.

Sinha also said that the Higher Education Department has successfully implemented NEP-2020 on ground to a large extent. “Now, we must think to devise and create such an environment wherein our hard work and efforts would be recognized nationally and internationally.”

“I think the biggest opportunity for any person, stakeholder or a student would be to erase the negativity and fear among the people.”

“We need to assess the outcome in the universities, not only financially but in every possible way, we need to check it,” he added.
