Baramulla: Former MLA Sangrama Shoaib Lone has resigned from the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), led by Ghulam Nabi Azad, just days after publicly supporting and campaigning for jailed politician Er. Rashid.
Lone confirmed his resignation from the basic membership of DPAP on Thursday.
Earlier, Lone stated that his support for Er. Rashid was in a personal capacity and had no connection with the party.
In 2020, Lone joined Altaf Bukhari’s Apni Party but later resigned and became a member of DPAP.
