Srinagar: The night temperatures on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday were above normal across Jammu and Kashmir, with dry weather expected until May 28, according to the meteorological department.
However, the possibility of thundershowers at isolated places cannot be ruled out.
“Hot and dry weather is likely to continue in Jammu and Kashmir for the next three days,” an MeT official said.
Kashmir capital, Srinagar recorded a low of 15.7°C against 13.8°C on the previous night, above-normal by 3.7°C.
Qazigund recorded a minimum of 12.6°C against 10.4°C on the previous night and it was 1.9°C above normal for the gateway town of Kashmir valley.
Pahalgam recorded a low of 8.3°C against 7.3°C on the previous night and it was 2.2°C above-normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.
Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum of 13.2°C against 11.1°C, above normal by 2.6°C.
Kupwara recorded a minimum of 11.5°C against 11.3°C on the previous night and it was above normal by 0.9°C for the place.
Gulmarg recorded a minimum of 11.0°C against 9.0°C on the previous night and it was above normal by 3.9°C for the world famous skiing resort in north Kashmir.
Jammu, he said, recorded a low of 24.5°C against 22.4°C on the previous night and it was below normal by 0.4°C.
Pir Panchal’s Banihal recorded a low of 15.0°C, and Chenab valley’s Bhaderwah logged 15.4°C.
