Ganderbal: The Kashmiri Pandit festival of Mela Kheer Bhawani is being celebrated with religious fervor in Tumulla, in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal. Devotees from various parts of India are thronging the temple of Ragniya Devi, popularly known as Mata Kheer Bhawani.
According to the ritual, special prayers were held, with devotees offering milk and kheer to the sacred spring.
This year, the number of devotees has increased compared to last year.
Emotional scenes were observed as Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims exchanged heartfelt interactions.
The arrangements made by the district administration, through various departments, were commendable during the festival. Besides other essential services, adequate medical facilities were also put in place.
SSP Ganderbal, Sandeep Gupta, extended warm greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit community and the people of Ganderbal on the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani, praying for peace, love, harmony, and brotherhood.
