Mumbai, November 23, 2024 – The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is on course to retain power in Maharashtra, with leads in 230 of the 288 assembly seats.
The coalition, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena, and the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP, comfortably surpasses the majority mark of 145, with the BJP alone ahead in over 130 constituencies.
Meanwhile, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi, an alliance of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and Sharad Pawar's NCP faction, is trailing, leading in just 53 seats.
