New Delhi/Srinagar, Jan 4 — The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday ordered a reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers in the AGMUT cadre, transferring several officers out of Jammu and Kashmir while posting new officers to the region.
According to official orders, five IAS officers serving in Jammu and Kashmir have been transferred to other States and Union Territories.
Santosh D. Vaidya, Principal Secretary (Finance), and Niraj Kumar, Administrative Secretary of the Public Grievance Department, have been transferred to Delhi. Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Secretary of the Health and Medical Education Department, has been transferred to Chandigarh, while Saloni Rai, Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur, has been moved to Delhi. Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary, Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), has been transferred to Ladakh.
Meanwhile, six IAS officers from other segments of the AGMUT cadre have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir. They include Ashwani Kumar (Delhi segment—1992), R. Alice Vaz (Delhi—2005), Anjali Sehrawat (Delhi—2013), Sagar D. Dattatray (Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu—2014), Akriti Sagar (Arunachal Pradesh—2016) and Kumar Abhishek (Delhi—2016).
In a separate order, the MHA also effected a minor reshuffle of IPS officers in the AGMUT cadre.
Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Additional Director at the Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, has been transferred to Puducherry, while Shobhit D. Saksena, Senior Superintendent of Police (Security), has been moved to Delhi.
Three IPS officers have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir: Prashant Priya Gautam (Delhi segment—2013), Sudhanshu Dharma (Arunachal Pradesh—2016), and Sunny Gupta (Andaman and Nicobar Islands—2020).
