Kulgam , Oct. 23, 2024 — A three-year-old boy was snatched by a leopard in the Brinal Lammar area of Kulgam, South Kashmir, on Wednesday evening, officials said.
The child, identified as Sehran Yousuf, son of Mohammad Yousuf, was allegedly attacked and dragged into the nearby forest by the wild animal.
As word of the incident spread, villagers mobilized and launched an immediate search of the forest.
Imtiyaz Naik, Wildlife Incharge for Kulgam, stated, "We cannot confirm yet if it was a leopard, but our teams have begun a search."
He added that all efforts were being made to trace the missing boy.
