Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday congratulated J&K Police personnel selected for gallantry awards to be presented on Independence Day stating that the entire nation is proud of their courage, grit, and selfless service.
In a post on X, he said: “Congratulations to all the @JmuKmrPolice personnel who have been awarded the Medal for Gallantry, President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, and Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day 2024. The nation is proud of your courage, grit & selfless service”.
Notably J&K Police has bagged 50 medals for gallantry medals for their meritorious services on the eve of India’s 78th Independence Day.
The list of awardees has been announced by the Union Home Ministry.
