Srinagar: Imtiyaz Ahmad Parrey, son of Muhammad Yosouf Parrey alias Kuka Parrey has joined Jammu & Kashmir Apni Party on Thursday in Kashmir capital, Srinagar.

Kuka parray was the top counter-insurgent-turned-politician of pro-Indian government militia, Ikhwan-ul-Muslimeen—that targeted  militancy in Kashmir. It was launched by him in 1993 after he surrended as a JKLF (Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front)  militant to Indian forces. He was killed in an ambush attack by militants in 2003 in his native village in sumbal, North Kashmir's Bandipora district.

Meanwhile, Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari gave a warm welcome to the new entrants into the party fold, as per the press release.

Mr Bukhari said their presence will strengthen the Apni Party further in their respected areas.

He promised the new entrants that party leadership will always support them to serve the people.

“Apni Party’s key agenda is to serve the people and I assure you that the party will be behind you when you are working to serve the masses in your respective areas," he added.
