Gaza, March 15 — At least nine Palestinians, including three journalists, were killed on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a humanitarian relief team in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahia, according to the Health Ministry.

The ministry reported that “nine people were martyred and several others, including those in critical condition, were rushed to the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza following the ongoing Israeli aggression.”

The strike came while a relief team was distributing temporary tents to residents whose homes had been destroyed in the war.

Among the victims were three journalists from the Palestinian Journalists’ Protection Center, which also condemned the attack.

"The journalists wereding their work," the center said in a statement.

This latest airstrike is part of a broader pattern of Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that was brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.

The ceasefire, which took effect on January 19, faced major challenges, particularly after the first phase ended in early March.

Since the beginning of the Israel’s war in October 2023, more than 48,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in airstrikes and ground operations with the Government Media Office raising the toll to more than 61,700 after many others were presumed dead under the rubble.
