SRINAGAR, May 7 — The Haj Committee of India on Wednesday announced the cancellation of all Haj flights scheduled from Srinagar till May 9, citing the temporary closure of the airport.
In a circular, the Committee stated: “In view of NOTAM A0976/25 regarding the temporary closure of Srinagar Airport, all Haj flights from the Srinagar Embarkation Point stand cancelled until 9th May 2025.”
It added that discussions are underway to explore alternate travel arrangements for the affected pilgrims in coordination with all concerned authorities.
“The Haj Committee of India remains fully committed to facilitating the pilgrimage of all intending Hajis,” the circular noted.
Meanwhile, pilgrims have been advised to stay in close contact with the Jammu and Kashmir State Haj Committee for timely updates on revised flight schedules.
The State Haj Committee has also been directed to immediately inform all concerned pilgrims and ensure smooth dissemination of further instructions.
