Uri: A 5-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in north Kashmir’s Uri on Wednesday afternoon.
Locals identified the victim as Junaid Hussain, son of Zambeer Hussain and a resident of Zamboor, Pattan Uri.
According to locals, the boy was pounced upon and dragged away by the leopard to nearby forests while he was outside his home.
The family and locals chased the leopard, but by the time they reached him, the wild animal had left the minor boy in a pool of blood.
The boy was declared dead by doctors at SDH Uri.
