Action To Be Taken Against Threatening Posts, Cyber Police on Power Row

Srinagar: In the midst of the ongoing power crisis in the Kashmir Valley, the Kashmir Digital Power Limited Company (KDPLC) has called upon the Cyber Police of Kashmir to quickly address and take action against social media users who have been posting abusive content directed at the power department.

The KDPLC, facing mounting criticism and frustration from the public over prolonged power outages, has sought intervention from the authorities to curb the situation on social media platforms.

In response, high-ranking officials from the Cyber Police told The Himalayan Post that they are actively investigating the matter and are committed to taking serious action against those responsible for issuing threats to KDPLC officials.

“We cannot relent people to expresses their opinions on social media, everyone is entitled to use it freely. However, it must be used in a manner,” the official said.

“We are diligently examining the posts and determined to take action against those whose posts are threatening,” he added.

Reportedly. Kashmir is grappling with worst power crisis with residents expressing their grievances and frustration through various online platforms.
