Srinagar: At least four persons were killed, while three persons are undergoing treatment at Srinagar's SMHS hospital after a boat capsized in the Jhelum River near the Batwara area of Srinagar on Tuesday morning.
They have been identified as Firdous, aged 30; Gulam Mohd Gojri, aged 18; Bashir Ah, aged 35; and another individual aged 30.
According to locals, the boat, ferrying minors and other children, capsized early this morning, prompting locals to urge authorities for immediate rescue operations.
Medical Superintendent SMHS, Dr. Muzaffar Zargar, informed that four persons have died in the incident, while three others are undergoing treatment.
