Samba, February 17 – The Samba Police have registered 12 FIRs against property owners for failing to submit tenant details, as part of a district-wide drive aimed at verifying tenants and outsiders.

Police confirmed that the initiative was launched to monitor and note the identity of tenants and domestic helpers across the region.

The FIRs were filed at various police stations: four at Police Station Samba, three at Police Bari Brahmana, three at Police Station Ramgarh, and one each at Police Stations Vijaypur and Ghagwal.

Following a rise in militant attacks in Jammu, authorities have mandated that all residents submit tenant information to local police stations for verification.

“Despite these orders, many landlords failed to conduct the necessary police checks,” according to officials.

SSP Samba has called on district residents to provide tenant and domestic helper details immediately to their local police stations for verification.

The registered FIRs include the following: FIR Nos. 48/2025, 49/2025, 50/2025, and 51/2025 from PS Samba; FIR Nos. 24/2025, 25/2025, and 26/2025 from PS Bari Brahmana; FIR Nos. 09/2025, 10/2025, and 11/2025 from PS Ramgarh; FIR No. 19/2025 from PS Vijaypur; and FIR No. 27/2025 from PS Ghagwal.
