Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has issued an advisory directing educational institutes to avoid assemblies in the afternoon as day temperatures rise across valley.
According to the advisory, the department asked schools to avoid afternoon assemblies to prevent heat-related illness (HRI).
Ensure adequate availability of drinking water and water breaks. Also advise students to cover their heads, reads the advisory.
The department also directed the concerned to report any cases related to HRI, stating that education is not possible without care.
