Anantnag, March 03 — A 20-year-old youth was killed, and a pillion rider was seriously injured in a road accident in the Anzwalla area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Owais Reyaz Khan (20), son of Reyaz Ahmad, a resident of Shirpora. The injured has been identified as Usman Khan, a resident of Anzwalla.
Officials said a scooty and an auto collided near Anzwalla, killing the youth on the spot.
The injured was shifted to GMC Anantnag and later referred to SKIMS Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case, and an investigation is underway.
