Bandipora: A 70-year-old woman died after slipping into the Jhelum River in Sadunara Village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday afternoon, according to officials.
An official identified the woman as Haleema, 70, wife of Ghulam Mohammad and a resident of Ahemishrief Village in Bandipora.
She slipped into the Jhelum River accidentally in the Sadunara area, he said.
“She was immediately rescued and shifted to CHC Hajin; however, doctors declared her dead on arrival,’ he added.
