Baramulla: Police on Monday said that a wanted and notorious drug peddler has been arrested with contraband substances being recovered from his possession in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police spokesperson said: “Police in Delina established a checkpoint at Juhama Market, and intercepted one person, and during his search, 270 grams of brown sugar-like contraband substance were recovered from him.”
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ayoub Shah, a resident of Ladoora Rafiabad, police said, adding that he was arrested and shifted to Police Station Baramulla, where he remained in custody.
