Srinagar: A police inspector working with the Anti-Corruption Bureau was shot and injured by suspected militants at Batamaloo area of Srinagar on Monday, police said.
Official sources said unknown gunmen fired on the neck of the Inspector, identified as Sheikh Firdous, when he was returning from mosque.
The injured was subsequently shifted to hospital, they said.
However, police said his condition is stated to be stable.
