Inspectors of the United Nation’s International Atomic Energy Agency have arrived at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant of Ukraine to inspect the site after several hours of delay due to fresh shelling around the plant.
Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, both Ukraine and Russia has accused each other for shelling the plant which is raising fears of a radiation disaster. The nuclear plant was already shut due to recent shelling.
Ukraine accused Russia on early Thursday of shelling the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant — and the route the International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors were taking.

However, Russia blamed it back for fierce fighting around the site in an effort to seize back control of the plant.
Meanwhile, the IAEA has confirmed its arrival at the plant in a tweet.
“The team was aware of increased military activity in the area. Having come so far, we are not stopping,” he was quoted as saying,” Reuters reported.
Residents of the area were directed to take potassium iodine tablets within six hours fearing arrival of “radioactive cloud.”
