Srinagar: Two OGWs (Over Ground Workers) were arrested in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday, Police said.
In a statement, it said, police along 50 RR (Army) and 181 Bn CRPF(Central Reserve Police Force) have arrested two (militant associates) working for LeT (Lashkar-e-toiba) outfit in Budgam.
The have been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Aziz Bhat- resident of Kralpora and Sameer Ahmad Najar, son of Gulam Ahmad -resident of Gund Chekpora Kanipora.
“Incriminating materials following arms/ammunition were recovered from their possession, which included 02 AK magazines and 54 AK rounds,” police said without giving proper details of other arms and ammunitions.
“Both have been found involved in providing logistics and support to the active militant of LeT as well as transportation of arms and ammunition in Chadoora area of Budgam, the police statement said.
“Case vide FIR No.150/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Chadoora and an investigation has been initiated,” concludes the statement.
