Srinagar: Police on Saturday arrested two OGWs (Over Ground Workers) working for of Lashkar-i-Toiba outfit in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
"Police in Budgam alongwith 2RR & 179Bn CRPF arrested two ‘militant associates’ (OGWs) of outfit LeT from orchard area of Rathsun Beerwah, Budgam," police said in a statement.
They have been identified as Wajid Yousuf Akhoon son of Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon, resident of Rathsun Beerwah & Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, son of Wali Mohammad Sheikh, resident of Kawoosa Khalisa.
One Chinese Pistol, 02 pistol magazines, 12 pistol rounds have been recovered from their possession, the statement said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 35/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation has been initiated, reads the statement
