Shopian: Two OGWs (Over ground workers) have been arrested at a checkpoint in Malik Chak crossing of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday morning, according to the J&K Police.
They have been identified as Suhaib Iqbal Malik, son of Mohd Iqbal Malik, and Tufail Yousuf Malik, son of Mohd Yousuf Malik, both residents of Baba Mohalla Shopian.
A top police officer said that the checkpoint (Naka) was established by J&K Police along with 44 RR and 14th battalion CRPF.

“During the joint Naka checking, two militant associates were held,” he said.
Police officials stated that incriminating material was recovered from the duo; however, specific details were not disclosed.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 14/2024 under relevant sections of UA(P)A has been registered in Police Station Heerpora and the investigation is underway, the officer added.
