Two OGWs Booked Under PSA In North Kashmir’s Bandipora

Srinagar: Police on Sunday said that two OGWs (Over ground workers) were booked under PSA (Public Safety Act) by authorities in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

In a statement, the police said that two (Militant associates) of LeT were detained under PSA and identified as Ishfaq Majeed Dar, son of Ab Majeed Dar AKA Salahudin -resident of Saderkoot Bala and Waseem Ahmad Malik aka Obaid/ Osama son of Ab Gani Malik – resident of Gundpora Rampora. However, their age was not mentioned in the statement.

“Dar was in touch with Militant in Pok & was given the task by his handlers across the border to mobilise the youth in Bandipora for recruiting them into banned militant organisation LeT. He was further given the task to identify Police/ Crpf  Naka’s in Hajin area of Bandipora for  carrying militant attacks in the area,” as per police records.

“Malik was also in tounch with POK based Militant namely Hashir parray whose module was recently busted by Bandipora police. He was establishing new associates in Bandipora town and to establish militant sleeper cells in Bandipora district,” as per police.

Both of them were detained under PSA, reads the statement.
