Sopore: Two accused OGWS (Overground Workers) have been arrested along with ammunitions on Wednesday in two separate operations in Saidpura and Brath Kalan villages of north Kashmir’s Sopore.
A suspected person was arrested during CASO (cordon and search operation) in Saidpura village “who revealed that he is working for Lashkar e Toiba militant outfit,” An official in the J&K Police said.
He disclosed his identity as Kaiser Manzoor Mir, son of Manzoor Ahmad Mir, a resident of Saidpura, the official said.

“Mir revealed one more associate’s name as Muzaffar Majeed Mir, son of Abdul Majeed Mir, a resident of Brath Kalan,” the official said.
“Following this disclosure, a cordon and search operation was started in Brath village, and the accused was arrested.”
“While searching his house, one Hand Grenade, one IED and eight rounds of 9mm Pistol were recovered,” he said.
“The duo was tasked to carry out attacks on security forces, besides disturbing the peaceful atmosphere amid upcoming G20 preparations,” he said.
Meanwhile, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police station Sopore, while further investigation has been set into the motion, he added.
