Srinagar: Two local militants were killed within 8 minutes in Bijbehera area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
At 6:08 pm, Police said an encounter has started at Shitipora, Bijbehara area of Anantnag.
Around 6:13 pm, it informed that two unidentified militants were killed and incriminating materials including arms & ammunition was recovered.
Later, the duo was identified as Ishfaq Ah Ganie, resident of Chakwangund, Anantnag and Yawar Ayub Dar, resident of Dogripora area of Awantipora.
Police stated that the duo was affiliated with (Hizbul Mujahideen) HM.
"The duo were involved in several terror crimes," police said while quoting IGP Kashmir.
