Srinagar: Two persons who had gone missing a few days ago were killed as militants in an encounter (military operation) in Srinagar’s nowgam area on Wednesday evening.
"Killed militants were affiliated with AGuH (Ansar Ghazwal ul Hind) outfit and dentified as Aijaz Rasool Nazar, resident of Budgam’s Malpora and Shahid Ahmad alias Abu Hamza, resident of Pulwama’s Karimabad," police said while quoting ADGP Vijay Kumar.
However, their age was not revealed by the police.
"They were involved in recent militant attack on an outside labourer namely Muneer ul Islam from West Bengal on 2/9/22 in Pulwama," police added.
Pertinently, both Shahid resident of Malpora Budgam and Ajaz Rasool Najar of Karimabad had gone missing few days ago.
