Srinagar: Two local militants belonging with JeM (Jaish-e-muhammad) were killed in Bomai Military operation on Wednesday.
They were identified as Mohd Rafi, a resident of north Kashmir’s Sopore and Kaiser Ashraf, a resident of south Kashmir’s Pulwama. However, their age was not revealed.
As per police, Militant Rafi was earlier booked under PSA twice and both were involved in several militancy cases.
"They were planning to attack civilians in Sopore area," Police said while quoting ADGP Vijay Kumar.
Earlier a civilian namely Ali Mohammad Ganai of Bomai was also injured during the encounter whose condition is said to be stable.
