Tral/Shopian, 18 February 2025: Forces on Tuesday found two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in South Kashmir’s Tral and Shopian areas.
An official said an IED weighing around 7 kg was found fitted in a pressure cooker in Kashwa Chitragam, Zainapora sub-division of Shopian.
The area was cordoned off, and a bomb disposal squad was called in to safely defuse the device, he said.
Similarly, another IED, also fitted in a pressure cooker, was found at Pinglish Nagwadi in Tral, following which forces cordoned off the area.
The official said the bomb disposal squad was called in, and the explosive was destroyed.
An investigation has been initiated in both cases, and those involved will face action, he added.
