Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said it arrested two Hybrids of Lashkar-i-Toiba armed group in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
They have been identified as Faizan Fayaz Bhat, son of Fayaz Ahmed Bhat, resident of Budan Rafiabad and Yawar Nizam Mir, son of Nizamuddin, resident of Konso Shopian. Their age was not mentioned by the police.
A senior police officer said that two hybrid militants were apprehended by joint team of Police, army’s 44RR and 178 BN of CRPF during a check post (Naka) at Trenz.

Two pistols along with other arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession, the officer added.
Meanwhile a case has been registered in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
In the history of Kashmir militancy, ‘Hybrid’ term was coined by J&K police last year which as per police are civilians who carry out attacks like sleeper cells and live a normal life within the society.
