Srinagar: As India celebrated its 76th Independence Day, Kashmir reported two grenade attacks in two separate districts; one near PCR (Police Control Room) Srinagar, another in Central Kashmir Bugdam district on Monday evening. In the attacks, one civilian was injured in Budgam and one cop in Srinagar.
Suspected Militants hurled grenade at Gopalpora, leaving one civilian of Minority community injured, Police said.
He has been Identified as Karan Singh (20) son of Anil Kumar, resident of Gopalpora. He was rushed to SMHS (Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital) in Srinagar where his condition is stated to be stable.
In Srinagar attack, a policeman was injured outside police control room, a high security area.
Police in a tweet said that the militants hurled grenade at Police Control Room Kashmir, resulting in โminorโ injuries to one police personnel. โ
Both of the areas have been cordoned off.
