Srinagar, 4 January 2025: A late-evening fire engulfed a residential-commercial building in Rajouri Kadal, downtown Srinagar, injuring two firefighters during the operation.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel were at the scene, battling the flames, as officials confirmed the injured firefighters were rushed to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
The dousing operation remains underway, according to reports.
Earlier, another fire incident was reported in Nawakadal, where a first-floor room of a three-storey residential house caught fire.
Firefighters managed to control the situation, preventing further damage.
