Sopore: J&K Police have booked two accused drug smugglers under the PIT-NDPS Act in north Kashmir’s Sopore.
In a statement to The Himalayan Post, police identified the duo as Nasir Ahmad Siraj, son of Nazir Ahmad Siraj, a resident of Hanfia Colony, Arampora, Sopore, and Mohammad Nadeem Mir, son of Mohammad Mubarak Mir, a resident of Behrampora, Rafiabad.
They have been booked under the PIT-NDPS Act and lodged in Central Jail, Kot-Balwal, Jammu, the statement reads.
“Many cases are registered against these drug smugglers, but they did not mend their ways and are still involved in the drug trade by supplying drugs to the local youth of Police District Sopore,” it said.
