Ramban: A driver was killed after a truck and a dumper collided in Pir Panchal’s region’s Ramban district along the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Wednesday.
An official informed that a truck bearing registration number PB35Q-4481, while on its way from Jammu to Srinagar, collided with a dumper bearing registration number JK 19A-0166 from behind.
“An unidentified truck driver died on the spot, and the body has been taken to the hospital for legal formalities,” he said.
He mentioned that the driver and helper of the dumper, namely Mohammad Akram and Bahar Ahmadm residents of Sumber Ramban, were injured and have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation in this regard.
