Srinagar: Top commander Zahid Wani among five militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashker-e-Toiba were killed in overnight gunfights at Pulwama and Budgam districts.
Four Jaish-e-Mohammad militants including a top commander Zahid Wani of Kareemabad Pulwama and a foreigner were killed in Naira Pulwama while a militant with Lashker-e-Toiba was killed in Charar-e-Shareef area of Budgam.
However, the identity of others is still being acertain.
Inspector General Of police Vijay Kumar said that five militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashker-e-Toiba were killed two encounters in last 12 hours in Kashmir.
He said that Jaish-e-Mohammad commander Zahid Wani and a foreigner is among slain which is big success for us.
