Jammu: A timer-based Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found inside a Tiffin box at Sidhra-Narwal highway in Jammu on Saturday, officials said.
News agency KNO quoted a Police official saying that at around 05:30 PM, a suspicious object lying on the Sidhra-Narwal highway stretch was reported.
Over this, police said, a team of police along with Police Component Jammu, Dog squad rushed to the spot.
“While searching the area, a Tiffin was found with timer based IED weighing around two kilograms, which has now been taken into possession after successful detonation,” police said.
Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation is underway.
