Srinagar: Jammu-Srinagar highway, Mughal road and Srinagar-Leh road have been closed for traffic due to landslides and shooting stones amid snow and rainfall since last night, officials said on Monday.
SSP Traffic National Highway Ramban, Rohit Baskotra said that shooting stones and landslides occurred near Mehad, Kishtwadi Patthar, and Gangr Ramsoo areas, leading to the closure of the highway.
He said that men and machinary are on job to restore the highway, but continuous rain is hindering the clearance work.
He advised people to avoid journeys on the highway till the weather improves and the road is clear.
