Srinagar/Kishtwar, 10 November 2024: Intense gunfights broke out in multiple regions of Kashmir, including Kishtwar in the Chenab Valley, where three military personnel reportedly sustained injuries on Sunday.
According to sources, three separate gun battles are currently underway: one in Srinagar’s Ishber area and two in the remote forests of Kishtwar’s Chaas and Keswan. Heavy exchange of fire is ongoing in Kishtwar, with reports suggesting the involvement of non-local militants in the clashes.
In Srinagar, two to three militants believed to be trapped. However, authorities have yet to confirm if the militants are locals or non-locals.
In the past 24 hours, three militants were killed in two separate gunfights in Sopore, north Kashmir. One militant was killed in a gunfight at Rampura Rajpora on Saturday evening, while two others were killed earlier in a clash at Sahipora. However, the identities have yet to be confirmed.
