Sonamarg: One local is missing, while two tourists have been rescued after a portion of the Thajwas glacier tumbled on them in the Thawjwas area of Central Kashmir’s Sonamarg on Sunday, officials reported.
According to an official, the incident occurred as tourists were enjoying their time at the Thajwas glacier Sunday afternoon.
He stated that two tourists and a local resident got trapped when a portion of the glacier collapsed on them.
"The tourists were immediately rescued, but the local resident remains missing. A search operation is currently underway to locate him," he added.
