Srinagar: The night temperature has dropped across Kashmir valley with the MeT forecasting widespread rain in plains and snow at the higher reaches of the region from November 29.
In a notice, the Meteorological department forecasted light to moderate rains in plains and snow over middle and higher reaches of the valley with a possibility of isolated thunderstorm and lightning across J&K.
While adding the dept. said that the wet weather situation will improve from 1st December with partly to generally cloudy weather till 7th December.
As per details, Srinagar the capital of J&K recorded a low of 0.8°C against 3.9°C on the previous night- above normal by 1.7°C.
In south Kashmir, Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir recorded a minimum of 0.8°C against 3.8°C on the previous night.
While Pahalgam, the famous resort of south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 1.2°C against 1.2°C on the previous night, Kokernag logged a minimum of 2.6°C against 2.8°C on the previous night
In North Kashmir; Gulmarg, the world famous skiing resort recorded a low of minus 1.8°C against minus 0.2°C on the last night.
Kupwara logged a low of 1.3°C against 3.0°C on previous night
Jammu recorded a minimum of 10.6°C. Â
