Srinagar: A teenager has been attacked and brutally stabbed with a knife in the Nowhatta area of Srinagar city on Friday amid the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
A teenager (name withheld) was attacked by another youth in Srinagar with a knife, causing grievous injuries to him, Kashmiriyat reported.
The teenage boy has been rushed to the nearby hospital in the Rainawari area where he is undergoing treatment.
As per the eyewitness, the boy was attacked multiple times with a knife on his face.
Meanwhile, police said the accused has been arrested.
“Accused namely Zubair Ahmed Bhat of Rajouri kadal, Srinagar arrested for stabbing & grievously injuring a person with knife. FIR No 27/2023 under sections 323,341 & 307 of IPC registered in Nowhatta PS. Weapon of offence also recovered,” Police said in a tweet.
