Sopore: A 14-year old boy was killed in a road accident in Taarzoo area of north Kashmir’s sopore on Wednesday.
The boy has been identified as Adnan Manzoor Sheikh son of Manzoor Ahmed Sheikh of Tarzoo.
As per reports, Police have seized the vehicle and launched a man hunt to nab the accused driver.
An official said that he boy got injured after a tractor had a head-on collision with a vehicle near fuel station in Izzat Shah Colony locality of Tarzoo.
He said soon after the incident, the injured was rushed to a nearby health facility, from where he was referred to an advanced health care facility, however, he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, Station House Officer Amargrah said that the vehicle was seized while the driver had escaped from the spot.
“He has been identified and will be arrested soon. Furthermore, a case has been registered in this regard,” he said.
